I have been a GE customer for my microwave many years. They last a long time. I have noticed each purchase is a little less quality than the previous one. The air filters on this one barely stay in. The microwave options and performance are fine.

The moment we open the door, it feels like little flimsy and light weight, not solid. The bad installation might be an issue, but I am unable to reach out to the installation department. They are not responding as of now.
The heating seems to be very good by the way and it is spacious.

It's a terrible piece of garbage; the keypad membrane is incredibly difficult to press, and the turntable is sloppy, skips, and clunks. Additionally, figuring out the cooking time can be challenging, especially for double-digit seconds, except for 30 seconds. a $50 GENERIC 1.1cu ft 1000Watt was leaps and bounds better than this

It works. Pretty low power at only 950 watts. Most cooking instructions for frozen foods today specify 1100 watts as minimum power.

Door seems cheap compared to 20+ year old microwave. Feels like a toy.
Control panel requires "just right" presses - we've had it a few weeks and haven't adjusted yet. Multiple presses often necessary.

Microwave is very load. Internal fan turns on automatically whenever microwave is in use. Seems low powered and takes longer to heat anything than other microwaves we have owned. Exhaust fan does not draw in any air but this could be an installation error by park model manufacturer.

Does the work but buttons are really hard to press, wish they light up at night. Light under the microwave is very dimmed.This microwave came with the brand new home we purchased. We never owned a GL appliance before.

Turned out great. The color and size for OTR perfectly....Our two installers were wonderful during install. made sure our glass stove top was completely covered and secure before installing. The keypad features are easy enough - the under lighting is nice and bright. Great choice !!!! TY

The keypad is flat and you have to push real hard for it to register. I foresee it wearing out in a year or two with having to replace the whole thing after having one for 20 years. Things are made cheaply.

We™™ve had this model of microwave before. It lasted 15 years of lots of usage. I™™m very happy with the microwave. The only drawback is when I went to install it. There was not a cabinet template. It said there was and there wasn™™t . It made installation harder than it should have been.

The quality is much less than that of the old microwave when it was working:
1) the number buttons on the control panel that is on the front of the oven, are very hard; they have to press hard to get the oven to start working. The buttons on the old oven were of a soft touch and easy to use
2) there is no AM/PM button for the clock
3) by the third use, the rotation ring on which the glass rotation plate sits, became twisted and bent out of shape and is no longer usable.

Great features, I especially like that I can add 30 seconds and reverse the turn table as its heating. The only thing that I can say on the negative side, is that you have to push the buttons pretty strongly to get it to acknowledge.

This microwave worked alright for a whole 6 months, then would no longer put out heat. Look at reviews on multiple sites, this is a known problem with GE microwaves, especially this model. The microwave looks like it's functioning correctly, but the heating element no longer works.
When I tried to contact GE support to schedule a service call, they gave me a runaround for an hour before trying to redirect me to call a different phone number and try someone else. They also couldn't confirm that the service call wouldn't cost me anything, even though the microwave was only 6 months old.
I'm staying well away from GE from now on. What used to be a trustworthy company is getting cheaper and cheaper in quality with their products and their service.
